An Immediate Denture is a complete or partial denture that is inserted on the same day. Immediate dentures are placed immediately following the removal of natural teeth. When the denture is placed, it should fit securely. As extraction sites begin to heal and the bone remodels, the denture will loosen. A soft temporary reline material is required, and after one year, you will require a permanent reline.

Acrylic partials are a type of partial denture commonly used when someone is only replacing some of their natural teeth.
It is custom-made to a patient’s specific requirements. A partial denture will restore a person’s natural appearance and greatly improve the ability to chew and speak clearly. Flipper dentures, also known as acrylic removable partial dentures, are a type of temporary denture that can be used to fill gaps in your smile. These dentures consist of a retainer with one or more prosthetic teeth, and they're usually used to replace missing front teeth.

No natural teeth? Complete dentures are designed to be worn to aid in the preservation of the remaining bone. Dentures are recommended to be replaced every 5-7 years.

Implant Retained Dentures are used when the patient has enough bone structure in the jaw left to support implants. These implant-supported dentures can be applied to the upper or lower jaw. Will require the implants to be done with a certified Dentist. We are able to work with your dentist to create a denture specifically designed for you.

1. Consultation - A no obligation meet with our denturists and get an individualized treatment plan.
2. Preliminary Impression - Ok, so you like your treatment plan and want to proceed with making a new denture. We use a stock tray with alginate-type impression material.
3. Final Impression - A custom impression tray is made, and a final border is molded/taken using a poly-vinyl material. *Is only done if all the natural teeth are missing
4. Bite/Rim Registration - This is when your Denturist uses wax rims that are fabricated to line up the upper and lower teeth and establish a proper closing distance. At this time, teeth will be selected (size/shade/shape)
5. Wax Try-In - The selected teeth will be set in wax to ensure proper positioning, correct jaw relation, and esthetics. This is the appointment to ensure you like the look of your denture and that they are comfortable, as they are made with the function from the impressions and registration appointments.
6. Insertion - Once esthetic concerns and proper jaw relation have been confirmed, the denture will be processed. Finished dentures! SMILE 😊
7. Follow-ups - Additional appointments could be needed for any adjustments

When coming in for any impressions please refrain from using any denture adhesive.
Impressions!!!! Made to fit your mouth as perfectly as possible and with the utmost function. It is a lot of work, piece by piece, molding, creating details...all in the in-house lab.
A preliminary Impression is taken YUCK! But this is needed to get the details of your mouth; this is a general impression which is used to build a specific model just for you.
If you have no natural teeth, we will get you back in for a final impression to ensure we have a more exact model of your gums.
Then you come in for a bite impression …the way you bite, your jaw motions, etc.
On your next visit, you will then get a wax try–in to confirm that the teeth selected look awesome and that they fit and feel the best they possibly can. This is when your denturist will make the needed adjustments required.
The Denturist then creates this wax mold and turns it into an acrylic (plastic) mold – you come in and put in your new smile!!!! At this time, the Denturist will confirm the fit and adjust any high spots, etc. All handmade in our in-house lab and made just for you!!!

Dentures are made to fit over the soft tissue that covers the ridges of your upper or lower jaw, but this tissue and the bone change over time. As a result, the fit of the denture becomes less accurate. A poorly fitting denture can compromise the choice of foods you eat and affect your health in the long run. Annual visits to your denturist should be made so that a re-line of the denture brings back a better fit over the changed tissues and bone structure. Dentures can be relined more than once, but over time, the denture teeth also wear down. So, a good rule is that dentures should be replaced every 5-7 years. Research done by the manufacturer of Polident (a denture cleaner) reported that the average age of a denture in the U.S. is 17.6 years. This means that a lot of denture wearers are likely having a lot of difficulty, and this is backed up by reports of issues resulting from ill- fitting dentures. Sources on the web quote a survey stating that 50 percent of denture wearers avoid many challenging foods like raw fruits and vegetables. 29 percent said they can eat only soft foods (which are often highly processed, with little nutritional value). Another 17 percent stated that they actually eat better without their dentures. One common reason: their dentures don’t fit properly. Invest in your health. It may just be time for a new denture.
Depending on when you got your dentures, things have improved!
Dentures were discovered back in 700 BC; there is evidence of dentures found as far back as 4500 years ago. They were not used to replace teeth but to alter their appearance.
Interesting....centuries ago, people would remove their dentures before eating! We have come a long way since then. Dentures today are better made and a lot more stable.
Teeth were made from bones and ivory. As well, real teeth used to be used for replacements. They were of poor quality and were known to transmit illnesses and diseases, as they most often came from fallen soldiers.
Now we are modern-day and work with top-of-the-line ceramics, plastics, and metal prosthetics combined with surgical implants as needed to improve function and stability.
