Impressions!!!! Made to fit your mouth as perfectly as possible and with the utmost function. It is a lot of work, piece by piece, molding, creating details...all in the in-house lab.    

A preliminary Impression is taken YUCK! But this is needed to get the details of your mouth; this is a general impression which is used to build a specific model just for you.

If you have no natural teeth, we will get you back in for a final impression to ensure we have a more exact model of your gums.

Then you come in for a bite impression …the way you bite, your jaw motions, etc.

On your next visit, you will then get a wax try–in to confirm that the teeth selected look awesome and that they fit and feel the best they possibly can. This is when your denturist will make the needed adjustments required. 

The Denturist then creates this wax mold and turns it into an acrylic (plastic) mold – you come in and put in your new smile!!!! At this time, the Denturist will confirm the fit and adjust any high spots, etc. All handmade in our in-house lab and made just for you!!!

Dentures are made to fit over the soft tissue that covers the ridges of your upper or lower jaw, but this tissue and the bone change over time. As a result, the fit of the denture becomes less accurate. A poorly fitting denture can compromise the choice of foods you eat and affect your health in the long run. Annual visits to your denturist should be made so that a re-line of the denture brings back a better fit over the changed tissues and bone structure. Dentures can be relined more than once, but over time, the denture teeth also wear down. So, a good rule is that dentures should be replaced every 5-7 years. Research done by the manufacturer of Polident (a denture cleaner) reported that the average age of a denture in the U.S. is 17.6 years. This means that a lot of denture wearers are likely having a lot of difficulty, and this is backed up by reports of issues resulting from ill- fitting dentures. Sources on the web quote a survey stating that 50 percent of denture wearers avoid many challenging foods like raw fruits and vegetables. 29 percent said they can eat only soft foods (which are often highly processed, with little nutritional value). Another 17 percent stated that they actually eat better without their dentures. One common reason: their dentures don’t fit properly. Invest in your health. It may just be time for a new denture.
