Ha is the Owner of Riverview Denture Clinic. Ha has owned and operated Northwest Denture Clinic since 2017, and as the location grew and became more successful, the lab area became outgrown. He decided to move to a larger location and renamed it to Riverview Denture Clinic. Ha is very eager to meet and help patients. Ha worked as a Laboratory Dental Technician for 12 years, with continuous learning throughout his experience, and was strongly encouraged to expand his education to become a Denturist. Why? When Ha worked in the lab doing all the “technical” side of creating dentures, due to his care and attention to ensuring the best quality standard, it was obvious that he truly cared about the quality of his craftsmanship. Ha attended and graduated from NAIT in 2017. For those who have met Ha, you will agree he is an outstanding person; his personality is one of humour and compassion towards his patients. Ha is very professional yet relates to each person on their individual needs. Ha and his wife are family people and are busy with their 3 beautiful children, spending as much time enjoying the girls' primitive years.

Tam's skills and talents are a great addition to our clinic.
Tam worked as Dental Technician for roughly 8 years, as well as an Ortho Technician for approximately 3 years before going to school to become a Denturist. Tam studied and graduated in 2019 from CDI College – CDI College is one of only 3 schools in Canada accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Denturism and the only accredited school in British Columbia.
Working with Tam, we love what we see; his attention to detail is impeccable. Tam is super easygoing, very accommodating, and is fantastic with patients. A big smile on his face and is eager to help with everything that needs to be done.
Tam has varied interests in cars and is very active in outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
On behalf of the whole clinic, welcome on board!

Unfortunately, due to medical circumstances, Tim is retired.
Tim took over his Dad (Winky) at Avenue Denture Clinic with over 30 years in the profession. He had joined us in 2022 at Riverview Denture Clinic. Tim graduated from NAIT. He loves to go fishing and has been in many tournaments back in the day.

‘A Denturist is defined as a “dental" health care professional who provides denture care directly to the public. A Denturist is an independent self-regulated professional who works with other oral health care providers, including Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Technicians and Oral Surgeons, as part of the Dental Health Team to provide the best denture care and service to their patients.’
Most Denturists handle every step of the process. Anything from consultations to taking molds and impressions, selecting artificial teeth, design and fabrication, testing, fitting, readjusting, and repairing of the final product. By doing this, quality is ensured to be consistent and personal to every patient.'
Proper-fitting and functioning dentures are very important!
Most people think it is only for appearance reasons, but no, not really. It is for your physical health.
Dietary Health - This should be your first concern in replacing and/or getting a denture if you are missing any or all of your natural teeth.
So, what happens if you either are going without dentures and you require them, or are wearing an ill-fitting denture? -- You can be causing nutrition problems for yourself.
Malnutrition- Tending to avoid vegetables and many proteins and load up on carbohydrates, as it seems to fill you up, or you eat food without chewing properly, and then what happens is the food goes to your stomach, is not broken down well enough, and has a harder time extracting any nutrients that it contained. Then you are more lethargic, maybe even getting grumpy. That is why we feel it is most important to wear proper-fitting and functional dentures.
'The quality of prosthodontic services offered by a Denturist contributes to the improvement of a patient's oral health. The value of this service is in its effectiveness in replacing tooth function while preserving the oral tissue supporting the prosthesis.'
